The fair has 271 companies and around 600 boats exhibited in an 81,000 square meter fairground. Sustainability is one of the main vocations of the fair, since more and more companies strive to find new products that are more respectful with the environment. The nautical sector invoices around 966 million euros a year and employs more than 5,000 people, and is considered a strategic sector for the economy of the islands. The Government of the Balearic Islands includes the nautical sector within its economic diversification strategy and highlights the importance of the climate perspective and sustainability in the sector.
